Just a little update

Well, my first week of preschool has come and gone in a flash. I have 18 wonderful 2 year-olds in the class throughout the week (only 12 or 13 a day, though) and they're precious. It's going to be such a great year. I truly enjoy going to work with such sweet children and awesome coworkers each day.

Chris is just as busy as ever at the University. Not too much really changes for him up there, but specific tasks come about at certain times of the year, and they're currently working on the computer labs like they do around the beginning and end of the semesters. They're replacing computers in the labs this year, so there's a little more to do than usual.

We're both staying busy with church and swing dance and working around the house. We may also have the chance to go to Germany and Switzerland in the near future, so if that happens, I'll definitely post pictures.

But for now, it's back to the super exciting chores of laundry, dishes, and cleaning before heading back to church tonight to teach Acteens and Challengers and so on. Hope y'all have a great week!

Back to school again!

Well, here is it 8 months later. I can't cram all the activity since the last post, but I'll give a brief overview.

January - Chris' 30-something birthday! Good month overall!

February - I remember something about a Valentine's dance....

March - I traveled with Jean (his mom) to Washington DC and had a very nice time. I went dancing up there and fell in love with the place. Delta overbooked our flight home, so we each got 400 Delta dollars and a flight home the next morning. There may also have been some snow.

April - Well, we filed taxes plenty early, so I don't know what happened this month.

May - The end of the school year! And then we took a trip to the Bahamas! It was one of the most beautiful places I've seen and stayed, and we had a FANTASTIC time!!!!
Can't you tell what a great time we had?

It was also our anniversary month! We've been married for three years! At times I can't believe it. There were also a few weddings we were quite happy to attend.

June - We attended the weddings of some friends. They were all lovely. And Robbie and I traveled to Washington DC using the aforementioned Delta dollars. Great trip. We saw SO MUCH free stuff (the best kind, right), and Robbie and I went dancing at the Jam Cellar. It was a great trip.

July - 4th of July! I played in the UAB summer band again for the first time in a few years. I'm so glad I got to do that again.

And now here we are in August. It's really really hot. And the University has started back, and my preschool starts back on Monday. We're both working hard and excited to see what the rest of the year brings.

Oh, and WAR EAGLE!!!
